Welcome to Inspire Learning Teaching School Hub

Inspire Learning TSH is one of 87 hubs nationally that covers Liverpool and Wirral. Our designated lead school, Our Lady of Pity Primary School, is a part of the Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust and works in collaboration with St John Bosco Arts College and other key partners. We provide world class training and opportunities for all teachers, leaders, phases and sectors across the region. The DfE are keen to ensure that teacher development is recognised as the “golden thread” that runs throughout a teacher’s career.

What are Teaching School Hubs?

TSHs are centres of excellence that will lead on training and development of teachers throughout their career. TSHs play a significant role in delivering school-based initial teacher training. They also coordinate the early-career framework which came into effect in September 2021 as well as new specialist national professional qualifications for teachers and leaders. The hubs also offer a range of other professional development programmes. The Teaching School Hub also takes the responsibility of providing appropriate body services for ITT & ECF. The Teaching School Hub will also take responsibility for appropriate body services for ITT & ECF.

Initial Teacher Training There are numerous teacher training providers across the Liverpool and Wirral area. All of them have extensive experience recruiting, training and mentoring trainees from Early Years Foundation Stage through the primary and secondary phases including provision of bespoke training for those wishing to train to work within Special Schools Early Career Teachers We are partnering with University College London on the new, funded Early Career Teachers programme, which delivers the government’s full induction programme, the Early Career Framework (ECF). It offers a tried and tested two-year support package for early career teachers to increase their confidence in teaching effectively, and helps experienced educators to become supportive mentors. National Professional Qualifications With University College London and the Church of England Foundation for Education Leadership/ Catholic Education Service we will be delivering the reformed suite of NPQs, designed to support the further development of experienced teachers, middle leaders, senior leaders and headteachers.
