Induction Programmes
The Early Career Framework (ECF) is designed to support teachers to be successful at the start of their careers. The training is based around the Teachers’ Standards and is received as part of a 2-year Induction programme. ECF training is separate from the formal assessment of the ECT through the Appropriate Body.
Training can take the form of:
Schools using a training provider to deliver ECF-based training– Inspire Learning Teaching School Hub offers the full-funded government programme. We operate with our Training Provider, UCL, to deliver the ECF training to all new ECTs across our Hub area. For more information regarding this please click here.
Schools using the DfE-accredited materials to deliver ECF-based training– This programme permits schools to utilise the DfE-accredited materials to deliver their own programme. The Appropriate Body must verify the content and delivery of your ECF programme to ensure fidelity with the ECF programme. This formal fidelity check is chargeable.
If you decide to pursue this option please complete this google form and Inspire Learning will arrange a time to discuss how they will assess fidelity to the ECF programme.
Schools using the DfE-accredited materials
Schools designing and delivering their own training programme based on the ECF – A school can decide to design and deliver their own materials. The Appropriate Body must verify the content and delivery of your ECF programme to ensure fidelity with the ECF programme. This formal fidelity check is chargeable.
