A bespoke programme providing graduates with life-changing teaching experiences. The Step Into Teaching Programme provides fantastic opportunities for graduates to ‘earn as you learn’ – Yes, that means you earn a salary while you gain experience working in an actual classroom!
On top of earning money, you get personal development opportunities and learn transferable skills, supporting you becoming a teacher. Teach a subject you are enthusiastic about and lead from the front. Benefit from teaching as part of an experienced team and on your own.
You will learn how to prepare and plan lessons for the curriculum, build positive relationships with school staff, pupils and parents, while also getting involved in extracurricular activities before moving on to gain your qualified teaching status.
School Experience Programme
If you’re considering going into teaching, you may want to do school experience before you apply for teacher training. School experience allows you to learn more about teaching by visiting schools. It is usually one or 2 days long. It can help you:
* decide if you want to train to be a teacher
* discover which setting you’d prefer to teach in (primary or secondary)
* build a relationship with a school you might want to work with later
